Job Description

  • Responsible for reporting and control processes, including leading the month-end close and overseeing general ledger activities;
  • Review, assess, and validate balance sheet reconciliations, while coordinating accounting activities with internal teams and shared service centers;
  • Perform inventory reconciliations and ensure accurate mass balance controls for goods flows across multiple locations, including commodity trading positions;
  • Translate complex financial and commodity trading data into clear insights to support business decision-making;
  • Monitor financial process execution, maintain and update SOPs, and deliver ad hoc analyses;
  • Daily monitoring of foreign exchange and commodity positions, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation actions are executed;
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up on recommendations;
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of reconciliation and accounting processes;
  • Act as a sparring partner for the Functional Lead and various internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and trading;
  • Prepare and execute process walkthroughs, integration testing, and user acceptance testing within the finance domain;
  • Support ERP transformations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), including analysis, cleansing, and harmonization of balance sheet accounts and general ledger structures, with specific attention to trading-related accounting flows.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling;
  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably within transformation or change programs;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a trading and/or manufacturing environment;
  • Mandatory experience in commodity trading environments, with a strong understanding of trading flows, risk exposure, and financial impact;
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting and control, including trading-related accounting;
  • Ability to translate internal control and general ledger requirements into effective ERP processes and system functionalities;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial and trading data into actionable insights;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
