The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management and team leadership with the aim to ensure supply continuity in a cost efficient manner, and compliance within a regulated (ISO 13485 / MDSAP) environment.

Job Description

  1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
  • Execute purchasing and sourcing activities for TSC Life, with a focus on raw materials and contract manufacturers
  • Lead complex and high-impact sourcing projects
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and value improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to and support implementation of the purchasing strategy
  1. Supplier Management & Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance (quality, cost, lead times, reliability)
  • Lead supplier evaluations, selection, and qualification processes
  • Drive supplier development and risk mitigation strategies (e.g. dual sourcing)
  • Ensure supplier compliance with ISO 13485 / MDSAP and internal standards
  • Support supplier audits and ensure proper documentation
  1. Team Leadership & Performance management
  • Drive team performance on key company procurement objectives
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support development of team members
  • Act as first point of contact and escalation within the team
  • Coordinate daily activities and priorities within the purchasing team (2 FTEs based in Amsterdam (NL) and Tours)
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Act as main point of contact for purchasing within cross-functional projects
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality & Regulatory, Engineering / R&D, Finance
  • Translate business needs into effective sourcing solutions
  1. Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, OTIF)
  • Drive data-driven decision making
  • Identigy and implement improvements in purchasing processes and supplier base



The Successful Applicant

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement / purchasing
  • Proven experience in supplier management, sourcing, and negotiations
  • Experience in a regulated industry (MedTech, Life Sciences, Pharma) preferred



Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and category management
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Basic contract and legal understanding
  • Familiarity with quality and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 13485)

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and data-driven
  • Able to balance operational work with team coordination
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
