Job Description

In this role as Interim Buyer - Rigid Plastics you will:

  • Take ownership of sourcing activities for rigid plastic packaging materials
  • Ensure business continuity and keep procurement operations running smoothly during the interim period
  • Negotiate contracts, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure reliable supply chains
  • Support additional packaging categories such as rigid paper and rigid metal when required
  • Monitor market trends and assess risks related to packaging materials
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs
  • Quickly onboard into a global procurement environment and operate independently

The Successful Applicant

For this role as Interim Buyer - Rigid Plastics:

  • Relevant educational qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field
  • Experience in rigid plastics
  • 3-5 years of procurement experience
  • Experience within packaging procurement; FMCG is a strong plus
  • Understanding of global procurement environments and scale
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and take ownership from day one
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Exposure to rigid paper or metal packaging is a plus
