The company offers a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture where speed, ownership, and continuous improvement are highly valued.Job DescriptionIn this role as Senior Supply Chain Manager a.i. you will:Lead and optimise the end-to-end supply chain and operations function.Drive operational strategy and translate business growth objectives into scalable execution plans.Manage and develop teams across supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, distribution, master data, and external operational partners.Establish governance structures, KPI frameworks, reporting processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and align demand forecasts with operational capabilities and business objectives.Ensure product availability while balancing inventory levels, operational costs, and customer service requirements.Oversee warehousing, distribution, transport operations, fulfilment activities, and third-party logistics providers.Drive improvements in logistics performance, OTIF delivery, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer service metrics.Lead procurement activities and deliver sustainable cost reduction and sourcing strategies.Develop supplier management programmes, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation initiatives.Improve Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) through sourcing optimisation, supplier performance management, packaging improvements, and alternative sourcing strategies.Take ownership of master data quality, EDI performance, ERP/WMS integration, and operational systems development.Support acquisition integration projects, process harmonisation, and operational standardisation across the business.Act as a key business partner to Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, Product Development, and external stakeholders.The Successful ApplicantFor this role as Senior Supply Chain Manager a.i.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of relevant supply chain and operations experience, including significant leadership responsibility.Strong background across planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and supplier management.Demonstrated experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.Experience working within consumer products, healthcare, retail, food, personal care, supplements, or similar industries.Experience with ERP and supply chain systems, preferably including Exact Online, WMS solutions, planning tools, EDI platforms, and business intelligence reporting tools.Experience managing third-party logistics providers and external manufacturing partners.Proven ability to drive cost reduction, improve service levels, and optimise inventory and working capital.Track record of leading change programmes, business integration projects, and operational transformation initiatives.Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Hands-on leadership style combined with strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities.Fluent in English and DutchWhat's on OfferStart date: ASAPContract for 9 montshOpportunity to lead a large-scale supply chain and operations transformation programme.Broad end-to-end responsibility across planning, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and systems.Ability to influence strategic decision-making and operational direction.Collaborative and entrepreneurial business environment.Please note: this role is exclusively available for self-employed (ZZP) professionals based in the Netherlands.ContactRebecca FaitaniniQuote job refJN-062026-7046469Job summarySectorProcurement & Supply ChainSub SectorSupply Chain ManagementIndustryRetail Jobs by locationNetherlandsContract TypeInterimConsultantRebecca FaitaniniJob ReferenceJN-062026-7046469
