Job Description

The International Tax Manager is responsible for leading all tax-related matters across the business. This role acts as the central point of expertise for international tax compliance, advisory, and strategic tax planning, working closely with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors. The position plays a key role in supporting commercial decision-making, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and optimizing tax efficiency for global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Leadership and Governance:

  • Act as the lead for all tax topics across the business, providing expert guidance to finance, legal, and commercial teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international, corporate, indirect, and withholding tax regulations.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impact.
  • Coordinate and manage tax audits, acting as the primary point of contact with tax authorities and advisors.



Indirect Tax and Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT, sales, and purchase tax returns for:
    • Netherlands
    • Germany
    • Belgium
    • United States (Texas and Florida)
  • Prepare and submit EC Sales Lists.
  • Manage withholding tax obligations and filings.
  • Obtain and manage tax residence certificates.



Corporate Income Tax:

  • Prepare corporate income tax returns for the Netherlands in conjunction with external tax advisors.
  • Manage preliminary and advance corporation tax payments.



Transfer Pricing:

  • Responsible for transfer pricing policies, documentation, and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain local transfer pricing files in line with OECD and local requirements.



Business Partnering and Advisory:

  • Work closely with the legal department on tax-related clauses in sale and purchase agreements.
  • Investigate and advise on tax-efficient closing locations for the sale and purchase of aircraft engines and other material parts.
  • Act as a business partner on new business opportunities, helping design the most tax-efficient operational and transactional structures.
  • Support the engine and stand lease business by advising on tax-efficient operational setups.

The Successful Applicant

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, CPA, ADIT, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant international tax experience, preferably in a multinational or complex cross-border environment.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience working with external tax advisors and managing tax audits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Additional language skills - Dutch and German are an advantage
