Job Description

As Finance Systems & Data Lead, you act as the owner and key user of finance systems, bridging the gap between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders. You lead system implementations, improve processes, and ensure that financial and operational data is translated into actionable insights.

A key focus in this role is the implementation, maintenance, and global rollout of a new consolidation tool, ensuring alignment across all countries and stakeholders.

You operate at the heart of finance, while driving innovation through data, automation, and modern technologies. Furthermore:

  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and global rollout of the group consolidation system
  • Act as key user and owner of finance systems, ensuring they support accounting, controlling, and reporting processes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for finance teams across countries regarding system functionality, reporting needs, and data topics
  • Translate business requirements into system solutions and coordinate with IT or external providers where needed
  • Extract, analyze, and structure large datasets (e.g., from SAP) to support financial and operational decision-making
  • Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear insights into performance (e.g., margins, products, customers, inventory)
  • Drive improvements across end-to-end finance and operational processes, including reporting, interfaces, and data flows
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements within finance
  • Explore and implement data, AI, and automation solutions where relevant
  • Support group reporting cycles and contribute to ongoing enhancements in reporting quality and speed

The Successful Applicant

You are a finance professional with a strong interest in systems, data, and technology, or a data- or IT-oriented professional with solid exposure to finance. You understand how financial processes work and are motivated to improve them through smarter use of systems and data. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in Finance, Financial Systems, Data Analytics, IT, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes (or the ability to quickly build this understanding)
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
  • Affinity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial tools
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and translating them into actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
  • Currently living in the Netherlands or Benelux region
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex environment
