Our client, Keter, is a global market leader in consumer lifestyle solutions, serving millions of customers through retail, DIY and e-commerce channels worldwide. To further strengthen commercial excellence and accelerate profitable growth within its Home Business Unit, Keter is looking for a Business Development Manager for Central Europe.

This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of the commercial organisation and influence growth across multiple European markets. Working closely with Sales Directors, Category Management and senior leadership, you will play a key role in identifying untapped opportunities, driving strategic initiatives and strengthening collaboration across the business.

Functie

As Business Development Manager, you will act as the commercial owner of the Home category across Central Europe. Unlike a traditional sales position, this role does not include direct account ownership. Instead, you will focus on developing growth strategies, improving category performance and unlocking commercial opportunities together with local sales teams and key stakeholders.

You will operate at the intersection of Business Development, Category Management and Commercial Leadership, making a direct impact on revenue growth, profitability and market performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translating market insights, customer trends and competitive intelligence into actionable growth plans;
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Category Management, Marketing and Product Development;
  • Influencing commercial decision-making through strong business cases and data-driven recommendations;
  • Supporting successful product introductions and optimisation of the category portfolio;
  • Acting as a catalyst for change, continuous improvement and commercial excellence across the division.

Profiel

The successful candidate combines a strong commercial mindset with category-based thinking and an entrepreneurial approach. You enjoy identifying opportunities, challenging the status quo and bringing stakeholders together to achieve results.

You are equally comfortable discussing commercial strategy, category performance and market opportunities and have the ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and countries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Commercial Economics or a related field;
  • Approximately 8-12 years of experience within FMCG, consumer goods, packaging, durable goods or another manufacturing-driven environment;

  • Strong understanding of category-led organisations and commercial growth drivers;
  • Demonstrated experience working within international and matrix organisations;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills;
  • Strong commercial and analytical capabilities;
  • Results-oriented with a proactive and hands-on mindset;
  • Fluent English language skills;
  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20-25% of the time.

Candidates with experience at comparable FMCG and consumer goods businesses are particularly encouraged to apply, as these environments often provide the blend of commercial, category and cross-functional exposure required for success in this role.
