As a Plant Manager a.i. you will be responsible for stabilising and improving production, procurement and operational performance at a manufacturing facility in the Tilburg-Breda region. This hands-on assignment requires an experienced manufacturing leader who can quickly assess challenges, implement improvements and ensure consistent operational execution.

Our client is an international Manufacturing and Production organisation operating within the consumer goods sector.

Functie

In this role as Plant Manager a.i. you will:

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure stable production output.
  • Drive operational improvements across production, procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure production plans are executed effectively while maintaining service levels.
  • Improve collaboration between procurement, planning and manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and initiate performance improvement initiatives where required.
  • Lead and support operational teams to achieve quality, delivery and productivity targets.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor and provide hands-on leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support inventory optimisation and material availability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and waste reduction.
  • Manage operational risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Report progress and performance updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Foster a results-driven culture focused on accountability and execution.

Profiel

For this role as Plant Manager a.i.

  • Extensive experience in plant management, operations management or manufacturing leadership roles.
  • A proven track record of stabilising and improving manufacturing operations.
  • Strong experience within plastics manufacturing or automotive.
  • Experience within FMCG or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically and operationally.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and implement practical solutions.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
