Our client is a well-established FMCG organization operating in a fast-paced and complex production environment in Dordrecht. The business is currently undergoing a period of operational change and is focused on strengthening performance, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and improving overall operational effectiveness.

The organization is seeking an experienced interim leader who can bring structure, stability, and direction while supporting the business through this important phase. Working closely with the operational leadership team, you will play a key role in driving improvements across manufacturing, logistics, and supporting functions.

Functie

In this role as Operations Manager a.i. you will:

Provide leadership across manufacturing and logistics operations.
Stabilize day-to-day operations and ensure continuity of performance.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements.
Drive productivity, service, and operational performance enhancements.
Support and coach operational leaders to strengthen accountability and team effectiveness.
Ensure alignment between production, logistics, maintenance, and other key stakeholders.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, compliance, and operational discipline.
Resolve operational challenges, remove bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Act as a key escalation point for operational and people-related matters.

Profiel

For this role as Operations Manager a.i. you have:

10+ years experience as an Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Site Manager, or equivalent senior leadership role.
Strong background within manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement, stabilization, or turnaround initiatives.
Experience overseeing both production and logistics activities.
Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Hands-on and pragmatic approach with a strong focus on execution and results.
Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Familiarity with warehouse and logistics processes, including operational systems and process improvement initiatives.
Able to quickly assess situations, prioritize actions, and deliver measurable results.
Fluent in both Dutch and English.
