Our client is an internationally operating organisation within the healthcare technology sector, supporting customers across multiple European markets. To ensure strong financial governance and continued compliance within a complex international environment, the organisation is looking to appoint a Head of Financial Accounting.

Functie

Lead and develop the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate execution of accounting activities and effective allocation of resources.
Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Direct the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate compliance activities across multiple legal entities.
Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, foreign currency exposure and payment processes.
Safeguard compliance with accounting standards, VAT regulations, corporate tax requirements and payroll accounting obligations.
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities and financial institutions.
Provide financial insights, reporting packages and analysis to executive management and international stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to accounting processes, internal controls and financial governance frameworks.

Profiel

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Extensive leadership experience within an international accounting, finance or shared services environment.
Strong technical expertise in financial accounting, treasury, statutory reporting, VAT and tax compliance.
Proven track record in managing external audits and multi-entity accounting operations.
Experience within a matrix or multinational organisation is highly desirable.
Knowledge of financial planning and analysis activities is considered an advantage.
Fluent Dutch and English language skills, both written and verbal.
