Finance plays a critical role in supporting the growth of the business, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of control and reporting.

Functie

As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance team and work closely with the CFRO. You will take ownership of the accounting and reporting processes across several entities, whilst actively contributing to the further professionalisation and optimisation of the finance function.
This is a broad position offering a combination of operational accounting responsibilities, financial control, stakeholder management and process improvement projects.Accounting & Financial Control

Responsible for the accounting of multiple legal entities.
Manage and review complex accounting entries and financial transactions.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial records.
Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.

Closing & Reporting

Coordinate and execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
Prepare management reports and financial analyses for senior management.
Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial reporting requirements.
Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements.

Audit & External Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
Coordinate audit requests and ensure timely delivery of supporting documentation.
Support regulatory, tax and reporting requirements where needed.

Process Improvement & Automation

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and workflows.
Drive automation initiatives and increase efficiency within the finance function.
Improve reporting quality, data accuracy and internal controls.

Business Partnering

Support management with financial insights and analysis.
Actively challenge existing processes and contribute ideas for improvement.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across finance, compliance and operations.

Profiel

Experience & Qualifications

HBO degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics or a related discipline.
Approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience within accounting, financial control or financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
Experience preparing management reports and supporting external audits.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
Experience working in a small or medium-sized organisation is highly beneficial.

Technical Skills

Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with accounting systems; knowledge of Exact and Basecone is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Affinity with automation and process improvement initiatives.

Industry Experience

Experience within any of the following sectors is considered a strong advantage:

Asset management
Investment management
Financial services
Family offices
Corporate services

Candidates with strong accounting and financial control experience from adjacent sectors will also be considered.Personal Profile
