Our client is a leading international organization operating across multiple European markets. As the business continues to grow and evolve, the finance organization is undergoing significant transformation under new leadership, with substantial investments being made in systems, processes and organizational capabilities.
To support the next phase of growth, several new senior finance leadership positions are being created. One of the most business-critical additions is the Senior Finance Manager Treasury & E-Payments, a newly established role with the mandate to professionalize and future-proof the Treasury & Payments function across Europe.

Functie

Due to continued growth and increasing transaction volumes across multiple European countries, our client is looking for an experienced Treasury & Payments leader who can help shape the next generation of treasury operations.This is intentionally not a traditional Treasury Director position. While cash management, financing and treasury fundamentals remain relevant, the primary focus during the first phase of the role will be on e-payments, payment operations and optimizing the connections between payment providers, payment methods and internal systems.

You will step into a function with significant opportunities for improvement and development. Initially, the role will be highly operational and hands-on. Over time, you will be expected to build a more strategic treasury organization capable of supporting long-term international growth.

You will lead a team of approximately five professionals and play an important role in restructuring and preparing the organization for its next growth phase. This means combining strong leadership skills with the willingness to remain close to the day-to-day operation when required.

Profiel

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
Approximately 7+ years of relevant professional experience
Strong experience within e-payments, payment operations or payment ecosystems
Proven people leadership experience
Experience managing teams in a corporate environment
Strong stakeholder management skills
Business fluent English
Comfortable working in an international environment undergoing significant change

Preferred Background

Combination of consulting, audit or advisory experience followed by corporate finance or treasury experience
Experience within e-commerce, fintech, technology or another fast-growing environment
Exposure to treasury activities such as cash management, financing or liquidity planning
Experience building or transforming teams and processes
German language skills are considered a plus but are not required

The ideal candidate combines two worlds that are often difficult to find in one profile: deep understanding of e-payment operations and proven leadership experience. The organization is specifically looking for someone who can build and lead, rather than a pure treasury specialist or a solely technical payments expert.
