This organisation operates in the wholesale trade sector. They are immediately looking for a Logistics Coordinator interim for 32 to 40 hours per week, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role

Job Description

Plan and coordinate international sea freight export shipments (FCL/LCL) to destinations outside the EU, from booking through to final delivery.
Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, hauliers, warehouses, and relevant authorities.
Coordinate daily with logistics partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient shipment execution.
Prepare, review, and manage all required export documentation in compliance with international trade regulations.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates, delays, and solutions to customers and internal teams.
Support freight rate negotiations by requesting, comparing, and evaluating transport quotations.
Identify recurring operational challenges and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Collaborate closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to align shipment planning and customer requirements.
Develop expertise in transport cost management, supplier performance, and logistics optimisation.
Ensure a high level of service by maintaining accurate administration and delivering a smooth export process from start to finish.
