Job Description

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organisation's business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to senior stakeholders, supporting leadership teams in driving performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Strengthen employee relations and maintain a constructive relationship with the Works Council.
  • Build leadership capability through coaching and guidance on people management, performance management, and employee development.
  • Design and enhance performance management processes, including the use of KPIs and performance monitoring frameworks.
  • Lead and support improvement initiatives related to absence management, case management, employee engagement, and HR process optimisation.
  • Drive the further rollout, adoption, and effective use of AFAS HRM across the organisation.
  • Oversee recruitment and talent management activities to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
  • Support organisational change and help create greater alignment across teams, locations, and functions.
  • Partner closely with operations and supply chain leaders to build trust, improve collaboration, and support a high-performing workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR policies across the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
  • Maintain a strategic focus by empowering HR Assistants to take ownership of operational HR activities where appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR MANAGER should have:

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with professional-level German language skills (written and spoken) being essential for success in the role.
  • Experience within the industrial manufacturing or similar sectors is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of labour laws (BENELUX) and HR best practices.
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships across all levels of the organisation.

  • A competitive annual salary (incl. 13th-month and holiday allowance)
  • €12,000 annual mobility allowance to support commuting or travel needs.
  • Based in Helmond, with an expectation of 4-5 days per week on-site and travel to Germany approximately once per month.
