Our client is an established and growing organisation operating within the logistics and supply chain industry. From its Utrecht location, the company coordinates complex logistics operations and works with customers and partners across the Netherlands and internationally.

The organisation operates in a dynamic environment where volumes, capacity, labour costs and transportation rates can have an immediate impact on financial performance. As the business continues to develop, there is an increasing need for high-quality financial planning, analysis and decision support.

To further strengthen the finance organisation, we are looking for an experienced FP&A Manager who can translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights.

Functie

Lead the annual budgeting and long-term planning process across the organisation
Own the periodic forecasting process, including rolling forecasts and scenario analysis
Prepare monthly management reporting and provide clear commentary on financial performance
Analyse actual results against budget, forecast and prior year, identifying the underlying business drivers
Develop financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making
Provide management with clear insights into revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA and cash flow
Analyse logistics-related KPIs, including volumes, transportation costs, warehouse costs, productivity and capacity utilisation
Perform customer, contract and route profitability analyses and identify opportunities to improve margins
Develop business cases for investments, new customers, operational projects and commercial opportunities
Work closely with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to improve financial performance
Monitor business performance and proactively identify financial risks and opportunities
Challenge operational and commercial stakeholders on assumptions, results and improvement initiatives
Improve existing dashboards, management reports and performance indicators
Support senior management with scenario modelling and ad hoc strategic analyses
Drive further automation and professionalisation of the FP&A function
Coach and develop FP&A and finance colleagues and contribute to building a high-performing finance team

Profiel

A completed HBO or university degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, Finance & Control or a comparable discipline
Approximately 7 to 10 years of relevant finance experience, with a substantial part of that experience in FP&A, Business Control or Commercial Finance
Previous experience in the logistics, transportation, supply chain or another operationally intensive environment is strongly preferred
Demonstrable experience with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
Strong financial modelling and scenario-analysis capabilities
Experience analysing operational and commercial performance alongside financial results
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence and visualisation tools
Experience working with an ERP or enterprise finance system
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
The ability to present complex financial information in a clear and commercially relevant way
Professional proficiency in English, with Dutch being a strong advantage
Previous experience coaching or managing finance professionals is preferred
