Job Description

To support the further development of the finance organisation, our client is looking for an AP Compliance Specialist.In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance activities, supporting internal controls and improving Accounts Payable governance processes. You will work closely with finance teams and various stakeholders to ensure controls are executed effectively and reporting requirements are met.
The role extends beyond traditional AP activities. Alongside compliance monitoring and reporting, you will contribute to process optimisation initiatives and support the implementation of governance structures within the organisation.What you can expect from the role:

  • Compliance & Internal Controls

You execute and monitor key Accounts Payable controls and contribute to maintaining an effective control environment. You ensure that internal procedures are followed consistently and support audit-related activities where required.

  • Reporting & Analysis

You prepare compliance reports, analyse control outcomes and monitor operational performance indicators. Through your analyses, you identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Process Improvement

You actively contribute to improving AP processes and governance structures. You identify inefficiencies, propose solutions and support implementation of best practices.

  • Stakeholder Management

You collaborate with finance teams and compliance stakeholders across different locations. Strong communication and relationship management are essential to ensure alignment and successful execution of compliance requirements.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing

You support training initiatives and help increase awareness around AP compliance standards, controls and governance requirements throughout the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience within Accounts Payable & Compliance
  • Understanding of financial processes and internal control environments
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented
  • Proactive and comfortable working independently
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
