The finance team in the Netherlands collaborates intensively with international colleagues in Southern Europe across accounting, tax, FP&A and reporting.Job Description In this position you are responsible for accounting and tax coordination for the Dutch entities, within an international group structure. You operate independently, while working closely with the CFO and foreign finance teams.Key responsibilities:Own the full monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes for the Dutch entities, including balance sheet substantiation, general ledger analysis and reconciliationsPrepare statutory accounts and support group consolidations within a holding structure, acting as the primary contact for external auditorsAct as the local subject-matter expert for accounting and tax topics, including VAT, corporate income tax and liaison with tax authorities and advisorsLead, coordinate and develop a small team (2 FTE) in accounting and administration, providing guidance, structure and coachingImprove, document and implement financial processes and controls in an environment where not everything is yet fully formalisedCollaborate closely with international finance colleagues on reporting, cash flow insights and budget inputContribute to finance improvement projects, including system usage, reporting structures and future system transitionsThe Financial Director's take on you personal development:This role is designed for someone who wants to build, not just execute.
