As a Property Accountant in Amsterdam, you will manage a mix of accounting activities within the industrial real estate industry and help maintain clear, reliable financial records. You will work with the Head of Property Accounting Supervisor to ensure financial information is recorded accurately and available when needed.

Job Description

  • Maintain accurate property accounting records and financial reporting.
  • Manage service charge reconciliations for several property portfolios in European countries.
  • Support and execute the month-end close process.
  • Develop and improve process documentation and training materials for service charge and accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with a team of property accountants and support workload coverage during a sickness absence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization within the accounting function.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and report directly to the Property Accounting Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, and reporting deadlines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Property Accountant should have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Property Accounting or a similar accounting role.
  • Experience with service charge reconciliation (servicekosten).
  • Solid understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting.
  • Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Process-oriented mindset with the ability to document workflows and create training materials.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
