Functie

As a Finance Specialist on the e-commerce side, you will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy across the entire online sales ecosystem. You will act as a key partner to both e-commerce and finance teams, helping to optimise financial processes, reporting, and commercial performance.Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the financial integrity of the order-to-cash process across digital sales channels.
Managing reconciliations between e-commerce platforms, payment providers, ERP systems, and marketplace channels.
Investigating and resolving transaction discrepancies, settlement issues, and financial data inconsistencies.
Monitoring online payment performance, including settlements, refunds, chargebacks, and payment acceptance rates.
Supporting compliance processes, internal controls, and audit requirements related to online payment operations.
Acting as the financial point of contact for marketplace platforms and external e-commerce partners.
Reviewing marketplace settlements, fees, commissions, and logistics costs to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales and performance reports for management and key stakeholders.
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
Performing variance analyses and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Collaborating with commercial, customer service, IT, supply chain, and external partners to improve processes and data quality.
Contributing to automation, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the digital finance landscape.

Profiel

We are looking for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and data-driven business environment.

At least 5 years of experience in finance, financial analysis, controlling, e-commerce finance, or digital operations.
Understanding of revenue flows, reconciliations, and financial controls within e-commerce operations.
Experience within e-commerce operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
Experience in an international, multi-country environment is preferred.
Knowledge of VAT, digital commerce transactions, and cross-border sales is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different functions and stakeholders.
A proactive mindset, sense of ownership, and continuous improvement mentality.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, Dutch language is a plus.
