About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organisation operating within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector. Based in the Den Haag region, the company manages complex transport operations and is seeking an experienced professional to strengthen its planning team during a critical operational period.

Job Description

In this role as Transport Planner a.i. you will:

  • Coordinate and manage daily transport planning activities.
  • Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of transport operations.
  • Monitor transport performance and proactively resolve disruptions.
  • Align planning activities with operational requirements between 16:00 and 04:00.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding transport schedules and priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels.
  • Manage transport exceptions and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and transport regulations.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and operational documentation.
  • Monitor capacity utilisation and resource allocation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.
  • Provide clear updates and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end transport planning process.
  • Coordinate transportation requirements across multiple departments.
  • Anticipate potential logistical challenges and implement solutions.



The Successful Applicant

For this role as Transport Planner a.i. :

  • Proven experience in transport planning and logistics operations.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of planning activities.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English.
  • Experience working within fast-paced operational environments.
  • Knowledge of transport management systems and planning tools.
  • Ability to adapt working hours to operational requirements.
  • ZZP and availability to start as soon as possible.
