Job Description

As a Supply Planner a.i. you will

  • Develop and maintain financial plans covering revenue, margin, inventory and purchasing budgets.
  • Translate commercial strategies and market developments into forecasts and actionable targets.
  • Monitor sales, margin and inventory performance against plan and recommend corrective actions where needed.
  • Perform scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of pricing, assortment and promotional decisions.
  • Create and maintain forecasting models to support commercial decision-making.
  • Establish financial frameworks and targets for inventory planning and stock management.
  • Evaluate business opportunities and risks based on financial and operational data.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, supply chain and finance stakeholders.
  • Support purchasing and intake planning activities for assigned product groups.
  • Deliver performance reporting and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, reporting and business processes.
  • Ensure data quality and planning accuracy across relevant systems and tools.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements for the Supply Planner a.i. role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Planning, Category Analysis or a similar planning function.
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning within the food/FMCG industry (experience with supermarket chains is an advantage). Given the requirements of this assignment, we are currently focusing exclusively on candidates with a proven background in the food industry. As a result, candidates from other sectors will not be prioritized in the current selection process.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, inventory management and financial planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI and planning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across commercial and operational functions.
  • Ability to translate complex data into practical business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch
  • ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands
