A leading manufacturer of screening, separation and filtration equipment for more than a century. Their products sit at the point where water enters and leaves industrial and municipal processes. Intake
screens on rivers and lakes, screens for water wells and mine dewatering, filter under-drains and internals, rotary and drum screens for process effluent, and architectural mesh and grating for infrastructure and building envelope projects.

Job Description

  • Deliver Commercial Growth. Own the European order intake and margin targets for the combined portfolio and build the annual territory plan that delivers theses and achieve sustainable growth.
  • Develop new business. Identify, qualify and secure opportunities with industrial end users, utilities, OEMs, EPC contractors and architectural specifiers throughout Europe.
  • Influence specification early. Engage consulting engineers, design houses and specifiers at concept and FEED stage so that our products are written into the specification before a tender exists.
  • Make deliberate market choices. Develop country and segment plans for the priority markets in the territory and be clear about where you will not spend time.
  • Lead complex opportunities. Shape the technical and commercial approach on large, multi-stakeholder opportunities, working with product management,engineering, commercial and operations.
  • Manage a robust pipeline. Maintain accurate opportunity data forecasting and reporting in CRM with enough discipline that enables effective business planning and operational alignment.
  • Negotiate and secure. lead opportunities through commercial negotiation, terms and contract award, then hand over cleanly to project execution.
  • Represent the brand. Participate at trade fairs, technical conferences, seminars and industry associations, and build the network that generates inbound enquiry.
  • Provide market intelligence. Report competitor activity, pricing movement,regulatory change and product gaps to the business, including the things we would rather not hear.

The Successful Applicant

Essential

  • Minimum 8 years in B2B sales of engineered capital equipment or process solutions into industrial, municipal or infrastructure markets.
  • A demonstrable record of specification-led selling. You should be able to name specific projects you influenced at design stage and subsequently won and explain how.
  • Experience owning a multi-country European territory and operating independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
  • A track record of individual orders in the circa 1 Million Euros and above range,with sales cycles of twelve months or longer.
  • Business-fluent English, plus business-fluent German or French is a plus.
  • The ability to engage confidently with both technical and commercial stakeholders, from process engineers and consultants through to procurement and executive decision-makers
  • Valid driving licence and the existing right to work in your country of residence.



Desirable

  • Direct experience in water intake, screening, separation, filtration or water treatment technologies.
  • Established relationships with European consulting engineers or EPC
  • contractors in the water or process sectors.
  • Experience selling through OEM or distribution channels alongside direct sales.
  • Architectural or infrastructure specification experience, for example facade,cladding, walkway or grating applications.
  • A degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent depth acquired in practice.
