Join a leading global FMCG organisation as a Procurement Specialist, supporting the Fruits Category team through data-driven procurement analysis, supplier benchmarking, and market intelligence. This is an exciting 6-month assignment based in Amsterdam, offering the opportunity to influence sourcing decisions within a fast-paced international environment.

Job Description

  • Support procurement and category management activities within the fruits category.
  • Conduct market research, supplier assessments, and benchmarking exercises.
  • Analyse pricing trends, contracts, spend data, and procurement performance metrics.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare clear reports, presentations, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
  • Assist with supplier evaluations, contract renewals, and tender analysis.
  • Monitor market developments and identify potential commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across procurement and the wider business.
  • Support ongoing procurement projects and day-to-day category activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Holds a Master's degree and has 1-3 years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a highly analytical business function.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful business insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable challenging assumptions or asking questions when needed.
  • Able to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within FMCG, food, consumer goods, manufacturing, or procurement is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP or procurement systems would be a plus.
