We are looking for a Junior GL Accountant to join a growing international finance team and support General Ledger activities across multiple European entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional with 1-3 years of experience to gain exposure to month-end closing, reconciliations, SAP processes, and financial control in a dynamic multinational environment.

Job Description

  • Support month-end close activities and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and post standard journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
  • Assist with General Ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences and accounting discrepancies.
  • Support banking-related accounting activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with senior accountants and the Financial Controller to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist with audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Support payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations where required.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance projects.
  • Collaborate with accounting colleagues across Europe to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies and accounting standards.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or Financial Accounting.
  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal postings, and month-end close activities.
  • SAP experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Proactive and eager to learn with a hands-on mentality.
  • Confident enough to ask questions, challenge inaccuracies, and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Team player with a positive and approachable personality.
  • Able to thrive in a busy environment, especially during closing periods.
  • Reliable, structured, and accountable for delivering high-quality work.
