About Our Client

Our client is an established private equity firm based in Amsterdam, managing investments across a diversified portfolio of companies. To support its continued growth and reporting requirements, the firm is looking to appoint a Group Controller who will play a key role in financial reporting, governance, fund-related activities and management information.

Job Description

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycle for the management company and related entities.
  • Coordinate consolidated reporting and financial analysis across portfolio investments where required.
  • Prepare management reports and performance updates for the leadership team and investment professionals.
  • Oversee statutory financial statements and coordinate year-end audits with external advisors.
  • Maintain and further develop internal control frameworks, accounting policies and governance processes.
  • Monitor liquidity, cash flow forecasting and treasury activities across the group structure.
  • Support fund reporting requirements and liaise with external fund administrators and service providers.
  • Contribute to transaction-related projects, valuations, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Group Controller, Financial Controller, Audit Manager or similar finance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation and internal controls.
  • Previous experience within private equity, asset management, investment management or financial services is highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and investment professionals.
  • Professional fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
