Over onze klant

Our client is a financial services organisation operating in the Dutch market. The business is focused on maintaining high standards of financial governance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Due to continued development within the finance function, the organisation is looking to strengthen its financial control capabilities with the appointment of a Financial Controller.

Functie

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
Coordinate statutory reporting requirements and support external audits.
Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks across finance processes.
Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Collaborate with risk, compliance, and operational teams on regulatory matters.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and financial efficiency.

Profiel

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Relevant experience in financial control, accounting, or financial reporting.
Background within financial services, banking, insurance, asset management, or a regulated environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
Experience working with auditors and internal control frameworks.
Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail.
Professional communication skills in English; Dutch is advantageous.
