As Finance Manager, you lead the finance operations of an international automotive leasing organisation. In this role, you will oversee the accounting team, own the month-end and year-end closing processes, manage HQ reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Functie



Finance Operations & Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate the monthly closing process.
  • Manage and support the accounting team in day-to-day finance activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial records and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Drive continuous improvement within finance processes and controls.



Reporting & Business Support

  • Prepare and deliver monthly reporting packages to headquarters.
  • Analyse financial results and explain variances.
  • Support management with financial insights and decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment between local finance systems and HQ reporting requirements.



Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts.
  • Support profitability and performance analysis.
  • Act as a finance business partner to the local leadership team.



Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate year-end closing and annual audit activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch statutory requirements and internal policies.

Profiel

The ideal candidate understands the financial and operational dynamics of a leasing business and can translate that knowledge into accurate reporting, effective controls, and business insights.This position is especially suited for candidates with experience in the automotive leasing sector or asset-financing organisations and have experience leading finance teams, managing month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, and HQ reporting.

  • 5-10+ years of experience in finance, accounting or controlling
  • Strong experience within automotive leasing, fleet management, captive finance, or asset finance
  • Proven ownership of month-end and year-end closing
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
  • International reporting exposure and stakeholder management with regional or global HQ
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS)
  • Hands-on mentality, strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent English; Dutch is a plus
