Job Description

Due to ongoing growth and increasing operational complexity, the organization is looking to appoint a Senior Manager Accounts Payable to lead and further develop a critical finance function.This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Payable operation within a large-scale international environment. You will manage a substantial AP team, drive efficiency improvements, implement structural process enhancements, and play a leading role in the continued professionalization of the function.
The role combines people leadership, operational management, stakeholder engagement, and transformation responsibilities. You will work closely with senior finance leadership, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders across the business.What you can expect from the role:Accounts Payable Leadership

You will lead, coach, and further develop a large Accounts Payable organization, creating a high-performing and structured operating environment.End-to-End Process Ownership

You will be accountable for the complete Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and scalability across the function.Process Improvement & Automation

You will identify opportunities for operational excellence through process optimization, workflow improvements, automation initiatives, and increased ERP utilization.Systems & Digital Transformation

You will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of finance systems and support the implementation of new technologies that enable greater efficiency and control.Stakeholder Management

You will collaborate closely with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive cross-functional improvements.Change Management

You will lead transformation initiatives within the AP function, implementing sustainable improvements that support future growth and operational scalability.Team

You will become part of a large international finance organization that supports multiple business units and countries.
The Accounts Payable department plays an essential role within the wider finance function and is responsible for managing substantial transaction volumes while continuously improving service quality, efficiency, and control.
As Senior Manager Accounts Payable, you will lead a sizeable team and work closely with senior finance professionals, operational leaders, and business stakeholders throughout the organization.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of Accounts Payable experience within a complex, high-volume environment
  • Proven leadership experience within a larger finance organization
  • Must have managed a team of at least 15 FTEs directly. This is a non-negotiable requirement for the position
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building structure, developing talent, and driving accountability
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational execution
  • Experience with ERP systems, process automation, and finance transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, controls, and best practices
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements and operational excellence
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing organization
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • German language skills are considered a plus
