Functie

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, and Operations Research specialists.
  • Drive the development of AI-powered platforms, predictive analytics solutions, and advanced decision-support systems.
  • Design and oversee Machine Learning models focused on forecasting, optimization, automation, and operational performance.
  • Lead the development of Operations Research solutions including mathematical optimization, simulation, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Contribute technically through architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Guide the implementation of scalable cloud-based AI and Data Science solutions.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into innovative analytical and technical solutions.
  • Establish technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and priorities for the team.
  • Promote a high-performance engineering culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and scale reusable data and AI capabilities that create long-term business value.
  • Ensure successful deployment of Machine Learning and AI models into production environments using modern MLOps practices.

Profiel

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing technical teams within Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering environments.
  • Strong hands-on coding experience in Python and modern Machine Learning frameworks.
  • Expertise in Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, Statistical Modelling, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Experience with Operations Research techniques such as optimization, mathematical modelling, simulation, linear programming, or decision sciences.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience deploying AI and Machine Learning models into production environments.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop highly skilled technical professionals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Commercially strong with the ability to translate analytics and AI investments into measurable business results.
  • Experience within complex operational, logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, or asset-intensive environments is highly desirable.
