We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage a portfolio of corporate entities and ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination. Our client is a professional services organisation supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate and institutional clients. The business assists with accounting, financial reporting, governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate administration. Due to continued growth and increasing regulatory requirements, the organisation is looking to strengthen its accounting team with an experienced Senior Accounting Officer.

Functie

  • Manage a portfolio of client entities and act as the primary contact for accounting-related matters.
  • Maintain accounting records and oversee bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements under Dutch GAAP and, where applicable, IFRS.
  • Deliver periodic management, financial, and regulatory reporting within agreed deadlines.
  • Support external audit processes by coordinating information requests and reviewing audit deliverables.
  • Coordinate tax-related activities with external advisers and review corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and related filings.
  • Monitor transactions and support compliance activities related to regulatory and anti-financial crime requirements.
  • Guide junior team members, review key deliverables, and contribute to process improvements, quality standards, and operational controls.

Profiel

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 7+ years of relevant accounting, financial reporting, or corporate services experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS experience is considered advantageous.
  • Experience preparing statutory financial statements and coordinating annual audit processes.
  • Understanding of Dutch corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within a corporate services environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills with fluent English communication abilities.
