A manufacturing and production organization in Venlo is seeking an experienced procurement leader to support a strategic business initiative.

Job Description

In this role as Procurement Manager a.i. you will:

  • Lead and manage the procurement function and team on a daily basis.
  • Coach and develop buyers towards a more strategic and category-driven way of working.
  • Implement and improve procurement processes, governance, and best practices.
  • Establish category reviews and support category management development.
  • Ensure the successful execution of procurement strategies defined by senior leadership.
  • Manage key supplier relationships and strategic commercial discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Operations, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support procurement activities when operational support is required.
  • Drive change initiatives and create a high-performing procurement organization.
  • Monitor procurement performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on procurement-related matters.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements for the Procurement Manager a.i. :

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement, or Procurement Lead in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong track record in procurement transformation and team development.
  • Experience implementing category management and procurement excellence methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver results in complex organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
  • Fluent in English.
  • ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands.
