Job Description

You work independently on the road and ensure technical systems run smoothly at opticians across the Netherlands. You combine technical insight with a practical, solution-driven approach.

  • Install, calibrate and maintain high-end optical and electronic equipment
  • Analyse and solve integration and interface issues between systems
  • Perform troubleshooting on software, applications and network environments
  • Support customers on-site and remotely with clear explanations and solutions
  • Deliver training sessions and create practical user instructions
  • Contribute to projects such as store openings, refurbishments and installations
  • Manage helpdesk activities including incident logging and follow-up
  • Act as a technical link between customers, colleagues and suppliers
  • Continuously improve processes and share knowledge within the team

The Successful Applicant

You are a hands-on, enthusiastic technician who enjoys being on the road and helping customers. Your attitude and communication skills are just as important as your technical knowledge.

  • HBO level or equivalent in IT, electronics or a related field
  • Experience in the medical device industry is considered a strong advantage
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical or IT-related role (junior level)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft environments; certification is a plus
  • Basic networking knowledge or certification is a strong advantage
  • Minimum B2 level Dutch (mandatory for customer interaction)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Customer-friendly, communicative and able to explain technical topics clearly
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel daily within the Netherlands
  • Eager to learn: you develop on the job and invest in your own growth
