We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the Finance team of a leading high-tech organization in Leiden. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, support month-end activities, and collaborate with both local and international stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant financial administration.

Job Description

  • Process and register incoming supplier invoices
  • Follow up invoice approvals with Procurement
  • Accurately book supplier invoices in SAP
  • Manage contractor hours administration
  • Support Direct Payment (ESA) administration activities
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and overdue items
  • Prepare reports on blocked invoices
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Contribute to internal controls and process improvements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, headquarters, and auditors



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Financial Accounting
  • Experience with SAP (mandatory)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of financial processes and internal controls
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in an international environment
  • Intermediate English language skills (spoken and written)
