We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem to join our growing data team. In this position, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and available for analysis and reporting.

You'll work closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop high-quality data solutions that enable data-driven decisions across the organisation.



  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure technologies.


  • Build and optimise data architectures to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.


  • Manage and enhance data storage and processing through Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, or Synapse Analytics.


  • Implement and maintain data quality, governance, and security best practices.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.


  • Monitor and optimise data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.


  • Support data integration with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI.



Functie



  • 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role).


  • Proven hands-on experience in the Azure data stack, including:


    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)


    • Azure Databricks / Synapse Analytics


    • Azure Data Lake / Azure SQL Database


    • Azure DevOps and CI/CD for data solutions

Profiel



  • Strong skills in SQL and data modelling.


  • Proficiency in Python or PySpark for data processing and automation.


  • Experience with data governance, security, and performance optimisation.


  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools (advantageous).


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
