Job Description

As a Technical Buyer (Tactical/Strategic), you will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for all purchasing activities. You will be supported administratively by 1 FTE. This is a broad, challenging, and interesting portfolio where you will have the freedom to further develop and professionalize it. In this role, you will collaborate extensively with different departments within the company and maintain close contact with suppliers. This is the perfect position for a serious and independent buyer who thrives on ownership, someone who sees opportunities and seizes them.

Some key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Procurement, contract, and supplier management
  • Proactively monitoring prices and market trends and taking commercial actions accordingly
  • Negotiating to secure the best position for the company, such as price, service, and delivery reliability
  • Continuously assessing and improving current methods and processes where necessary
  • Proactively seeking out opportunities for synergy both internally and externally (e.g., on ERP)

The Successful Applicant

  • 6+ years of experience as an experienced buyer with proven success
  • Experience in and/or affinity with improving procurement processes
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable
  • Strong proficiency in English, Dutch a nice to have
  • The company is located in Hoofddorp, with the possibility of hybrid working
