Job Description

The Accounting Associate will oversee and coordinate accounting functions related to Dutch holding structures and their subsidiaries. Core duties include:

Preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with Dutch legal requirements.

Supporting external auditors during the audit process.

Executing general accounting tasks including bookkeeping, periodic financial reporting, preparation of annual accounts, and consolidation (if applicable).

Liaising with finance teams of affiliated companies to ensure accurate valuation processes and compliance with financial reporting obligations.

Coordinating with tax advisors to complete annual filings, including corporate taxes, VAT, and social contributions.

Managing bank accounts for Dutch entities, including setup and maintenance.

Facilitating intercompany transactions and transfer pricing in collaboration with the head office.

Reviewing legal documents to extract relevant financial information for reporting purposes.

Preparing regulatory submissions to external bodies such as trade registries and financial authorities.

The Successful Applicant

A recognized financial or accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent bachelor's degree in accounting or finance).

At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Solid understanding of Dutch GAAP, as well as familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS.

Working knowledge of local and international tax regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented with a proactive and professional attitude.
