Functie

General

  • As senior manager for the sales and engineering team works closely with the Managing Director to formulate and implement a sales development strategy for the Benelux and bring support and expertise to the new countries (France and Germany) to deliver a strong growth. Identifying objectives, resources, market positioning, including client and new markets opportunities
  • Ensure the Benelux market sectors (Construction, Municipal and Industrial) continue to mature through focus client and services
  • Support new teams in Germany and France bringing best practices and engineering support to develop the most appropriate solutions that fits our customers portfolio.
  • Ensure objectives and performance targets or KPIs are appropriately cascaded to team/functional levels and regularly reported on, evaluated and adjusted when required
  • Develop and implement efficient, effective and compliant engineering and commercial processes, procedures; particularly with respect to engagement with other parts of the business to ensure efficient solution delivery.
  • Provide strong leadership and develop and motivate managers and teams to ensure role competency requirements, and to achieve strong engagement, performance, productivity and work quality. Seek to mentor and develop existing and new team members to support the growth of Benelux and other European markets
  • Seek to identify new opportunities / customers aligned to the Group growth plans, including the consideration of existing (and additional) product portfolio and applications
  • Responsible for marketing of activities in the Benelux and supporting the other countries align with their local priorities
  • Responsible to implement a training plan that will allow the sales team to perform in line of the business expectation.
  • Develop a department action plan and objectives that is aligned to the Group business plan and objectives. Ensuring that these are cascaded, evaluated and adjusted when required.
  • Report regularly on all aspects of growth plan, risks, performance, Client opportunities, product development or portfolio and business improvement initiatives

Quality, Health, Safety, Environment

  • Provide positive leadership in SHEQ behaviours and ensure SHEQ policies and procedures are implemented effectively, addressing non-compliance issues without delay
  • Work closely with marketing to monitor customer satisfaction and collaborate on finding ways to ensure customer retention



People

  • Promote a positive workplace culture and strong ethical practice through leading by example and influencing the right staff behaviours
  • Ensure an effective flow of communication and information within the department and to other departments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments across the Group
  • Responsible to implement a training plan that will allow the sales team to perform in line of the business expectation.

Financial

  • Provide regular department financial forecasts for revenue and monitor sales orders
  • Monitor market position verses plan / financial objectives and targets.

  • Degree qualified or equivalent with 10+ years industry experience
  • Client facing experience with negotiation skills on all technical and commercial elements.
  • Extensive experience leading teams, managing resources and developing people
  • Strategic business planning, setting objectives and KPIs and budget management
  • Confident with commercial and contract management
