Job Description

You will be responsible for the Business Development of the European Energy Solutions for the client's customer base. Today, this is mainly focused on solar but will include storage, electric vehicle infrastructure, and microgrid/backup solutions. Part of the role is to help build out the portfolio of products and services. You will partner with the market leasing and regional property management teams to build on our great customer relationships and bring value-added solutions to existing customers in our 870 buildings. You will report to the Director of Energy Programs Europa. You will join a top-notch team with unparalleled ability to offer cutting-edge energy solutions to help our customers and our portfolio to become sustainable.

  • Be the driving force and subject matter expert in assigned geographies. The initial focus will be the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Italy and France, but ultimate responsibility may extend to more of European markets.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers, teams and partners to educate, introduce and promote Energy products and services.
  • Tracking, reporting and messaging for internal, external and fund purposes relative to our Energy solutions, as required.
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of customer's businesses to better understand their needs and pain points.
  • Work closely with local teams to pre-screen potential opportunities then work to close projects utilizing a team selling approach.

The Successful Applicant

  • 4+ years B2B sales experience; with >2 years in commercial renewable solution sales.
  • English Speaking - Dutch / French / Italian / German / Polish is a plus
  • Proven consultative Sales Skills.
  • Understanding of utility tariffs, solar pricing, financial return modeling, and PPAs.
  • Understanding of Financial analytics (NPV, IRR, Financing, ROI, depreciation, cash flow).
  • Understanding of the interplay between system design, cost, project economics, financed pricing and ability to run and use financial models.
  • Comfortable prospecting and presenting to executive managers, owners, CEOs and board members.
  • Ability to develop projects from A to Z.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated, self-starter capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs dictate, potentially up to 50% of the time.
