As a project buyer NPI, you are an integral part in the process of NPI projects. Your goals is to translate the supply chain plan to the buying of new materials/components and negotiating supplier contracts related to the project.

Our client, based in Nijmegen, is a leading player in the field of transport, management and distribution systems for high-purity gases and liquids, with a strong position in the European high-tech industry. They serve the semiconductor, aerospace, chemical & pharmaceutical industry.

Job Description

As a project buyer NPI:

  • you are responsible for the RFQ process in which you request, assess and discuss quotes internally with colleagues. you also ensure that the suppliers meet the NDA conditions;
  • you have the possibility to negotiate independently with selected suppliers about prices and lead times at the best possible TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) conditions for the project;
  • you are responsible for concluding supplier contracts;
  • handling invoice differences and releasing them for settlement by finance according to our guidelines;
  • identifying possible purchasing risks and contributing to managing these risks;
  • drawing up KPI's for suppliers in the area of QLTCS;
  • participates in supplier audits where necessary and carefully monitors supplier KPI's. in close collaboration with the quality department and category manager;

The Successful Applicant

  • You have an HBO thinking and working level and have completed an MBO+ or HBO education / Bachelor level / Bachelor of Science, for example in the field of Purchasing, Logistics Supply Chain, Technical Business Administration or Commercial Economics; additional completed training e.g. Nevi is an advantage;
  • You have Mechanical / Mechatronic knowledge and are able to read a technical drawing, including an understanding of the relevant manufacturing techniques.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the purchasing field, preferably as project buyer
  • You are stress-resistant and can keep your head cool in a challenging technical market;
  • Good communication skills and command of the English language, spoken and written; mastery of the Dutch language is an advantage
