Our customer has exciting opportunities for Procurement Manager(s) to join their European headquarters in Venlo, the Netherlands. The roles are full-time, permanent positions offering an excellent salary and benefits package.

Functie

Our customer has divided its full product assortment (around 40.000 sku's per country) in three main categories: Electronics & Supplies, Facilities & Furniture and Office Supplies. Each category is split up into sub-categories for which a Procurement Manager will become responsible for a combination of sub-categories:

Electronics & Supplies (1. Electronics / 2. I&T, Hardware / 3. Office Equipment & Presentation)
Facilities & Furniture (4. Cleaning, Hygiene Supplies & Appliances / 5. Food, Catering & Personal Protection / 6. Furniture)
Office Supplies (7. Filing & Organization / 8. Mailing Supplies / 9. Paper Products / 10. Writing & Planning)

You are the vendor owner, you optimize the relationship, cost prices, trading terms and all product tenders. You are accountable for your vendors' performance and take ownership of our customers' product experience. Cross functional working is essential to manage vendor performance, your ability to plan and communicate vendor plans, as well as take ownership of problems with vendors, is crucial. This role will require you to develop a vendor and sourcing strategy for your categories, which supports the overall category strategy.

Profiel

  • Highly skilled negotiator, with a proven track record in vendor relationship and performance management, driving category profitability
  • Bachelor and/or Master degree with a minimum of 3 years procurement management experience in an international trading environment
  • Demonstrates an ability to turnaround vendor performance
  • Strong commercial skills, with the ability to turn data driven facts into category opportunities
  • Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Other language skills such as: Dutch and/or German, would be a distinct advantage
