Our client has been operating since the 1980s as one of the leading logistics specialists in temperature-controlled logistics worldwide. Our client has extensive expertise in complex services and offers our customers solution-oriented services for cold chain logistics.

Functie

You coordinate the administrative and financial activities and monitor progress, whereby efficiency and correctness are spearheads. With your coaching and motivational leadership style, you know how to get the best out of your team and you ensure that the staffing level is always in order, both quantitatively and qualitatively. You are always alert to things that could be done better. Whether it concerns our service, the work processes or cooperation within the department or with external parties.Other duties include:

  • ensure that the employees in your team continue to develop;
  • holding annual performance and appraisal interviews and interim progress interviews with your employees;
  • providing timely and correct management information, budget, department or location data and monthly, quarterly and annual reports and making recommendations;
  • maintaining and optimizing our services, processes, and systems and monitoring the realization of the formulated objectives;
  • ensure that we comply with all laws and regulations in our work.

Profiel

For this responsible role, we are looking for a strong personality who will lead our Customs team in a coaching and inspiring way. You are result-oriented, enterprising, and decisive and you have a sharp eye for opportunities in the market. Of course, you make sure that you stay informed of relevant developments. You also find it important to continue to develop yourself and your leadership qualities. We further ask:

  • a completed bachelor's degree, preferably in a logistics direction;
  • thorough knowledge of current and relevant legislation and regulations in the field of customs matters;
  • at least five years of experience in a similar position;
  • proficiency in working with various software applications, including Excel;
  • excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.
