Over onze klant

A successful and established company manufacturing and selling chemical products such as various foaming agents, ceramic compounds and microfibers. With an established European presence based in Spain, they form part of Japanese chemical company since 1989. They are responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets.

Functie

  • New business development in the Netherlands.
  • Build a pipeline of potential and relevant distributors, partners and customers (Priority)
  • Market research and analysis on EMEA specific new business, understanding the movements of the market.
  • Research on M&A, investments, alliance and collaboration target (including startups, ventures, etc.)
  • Creating and driving business strategy from HQ and the EU branch
  • Support for establishing a new office in the Netherlands
  • Sales promotion for the existing products by introducing them to the Dutch market and potential neighbouring countries.
  • Developing a sales strategy, implementing a structured action plan to execute
  • Attending relevant events, planning meetings with potential partners and presenting the product portfolio

Profiel

  • Technical/bachelors degree in Chemical engineering or similar technical background
  • Professional experience in business development and a track record of building long-term relationships
  • Market knowledge of the related chemical industry in the Dutch market and potential surrounding countries (Belgium,Germany etc.)
  • A sense of responsibility, reliability and high self-motivation as this is an independent role working without a Dutch office at present
  • Ability to work in a team, focus on timely results, taking initiative and reporting accordingly
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to work cross functionally between various teams, sales, marketing, finance etc.
  • General high skills in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel on business
  • Mindfulness of cultural differences (Spanish, Asian, Japanese, ect.)
