Job Description

As a Marketing Manager, you report directly to the General Manager of the Dutch subsidiary. You are responsible for the development of image and brand awareness in the Netherlands. You contribute to the development of the company turnover and its market shares on the Dutch market. You are in charge of setting and implementing of marketing strategy for distribution in the Netherlands. You recommend the media and PR strategy and you guarantee their good execution. In addition, you are responsible for development of overall digital and e-commerce strategy for the Dutch market.

Main responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for setting and implementation of the operational marketing plan and clear guidance in the investment choices, priorities and local initiatives
  • In charge of sell-out objectives and their monitoring
  • Analyze the expectations of consumers and identify local trends based on market data, inputs of field sales team, consultants, field POS visits
  • Work closely with European marketing team in order to anticipate and adapt the marketing plans and forthcoming launches
  • Provide information to the European team (local analysis, monthly reports, quantitative and qualitative feedback on launches, market trend and evolution…)
  • Present new products to clients.
  • Prepare sales meetings / seminars / sell-out documents for sales reps


  • Negotiate and develop trade activities (offline and online) for different retailers and implement distinctive POS activation
  • Guarantee the brand image and philosophy in all trade activities, in particular events and locally produced materials and tools
  • Ensure a proper coordination between services for good understanding and effective implementation of trade plans
  • Analyze and synthesize the results of implemented actions
  • Visit points of sales regularly in order to check the inventory, merchandising and advertising material for the best visibility
  • Manage 360 launch plans and partner with cross functional teams (Sales, Education)
  • Provide the sales team with all relevant information to ensure good understanding and implementation of novelties and trade plans


  • Build, together with press officer, the annual media plans as well as the related budget
  • Organize the events and communication operations for new launches
  • Design operations and partnerships to strengthen the company/brand image and visibility
  • you are a discussion partner to the European Media team and the main contact person for local media agencies


  • You will pursue the goal of increasing brand desirability consistently across all digital touchpoints
  • In collaboration with digital team in France, you set-up the monthly e-commerce activation
  • You are responsible for overall customer online experience and image of the brand on Dutch e-commerce and local Facebook page


  • Build-up yearly marketing, media and PR budgets
  • Monitor expenses and check their adequacy with budgets
  • Reconcile monthly actual to budget spendings (follow-up with the finance controller and general manager)
  • Prepare all consolidated data, statistics and summaries for budget meetings and sector reviews
  • Manage the reliable forecast process:
  • Make, consolidate and transmit forecast of new products, catalogue and free items for all axis
  • Keep the follow-up of forecasts allocated per client and by planned actions
  • Monitor consumption and stock of forecasts and share with team (sales, training)
  • Negotiate quotations and control invoicing (local production of furniture, windows, podiums, POSM)

The Successful Applicant

  • Marketing or business education level with professional experience for at least 5 years in the similar function and comparable environment
  • Reliable and versatile personality, stable and capable of fitting in a business culture
  • Track record in management and development of teams
  • Enthusiastic and persistent person, able to create and maintain business relations
  • Strong communicator and negotiator
  • Good analytical, organizational skills and having agility with figures
  • Alert, flexible and quick thinker, able to juggle many activities at the same time
  • Creative and innovative
  • At ease with digital and social media environment
  • Dynamic team player with high standards of integrity and ability to motivate others
  • Dutch and English fluent, French is a definite plus
  • Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Nielsen data analysis
