Job Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve market growth and revenue targets within the assigned geography, which deliver planned profitability
  • Drive business growth through effective market strategies, business development, andjoint planning with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities, monitor competition, and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Work with the CCO to develop pricing strategies and promotional activities to maximize market penetration and sustainable revenue growth
  • Ensure efficient and effective market operations, including logistics, compliance, and customer service
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to enter new markets, leveraging market insights and competitive intelligence.* Work with the Warehousing & Logistics Manager to streamline export processes and optimise resource allocation to enhance operational efficiency and delivery standards.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Build strong customer and distributor relationships to enhance customer satisfaction through tailored market strategies and educational programmes.
  • Regularly assess distributor performance, providing feedback and support to drive improvement and achieve targets.
  • Lead negotiations with distributors to secure favourable terms and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships



The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 + years' experience across sales roles
  • Proven ability to lead key relationships to deliver successful outcomes
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation, customer relationship management and the ability to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Deep experience in developing and implementing a range of sales strategies that align with company goals and deliver on targets.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to use insights, analytics, and trends to deliver business outcomes
  • Proven ability to negotiate and devise approaches that lead to successful business outcomes
  • Knowledge and experience within the Agricultural and / or Veterinary sector(s)

Skills

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage a diverse sales team.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make datadriven decisions on sales strategies and measure executional effectiveness.
  • Expert proficiency in sales and CRM software, and the ability to leverage data and technology to enhance sales performance.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Is an active listener, alongside well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Great negotiator, being skilled in objection handling
  • Is a proven strategic thinker and decision maker
  • Has a sound understanding of financial and business management
  • Is a strong team player who is able to be persuasive and gain buy-in from management colleagues, key external stakeholders, and other group members
  • Is highly driven and committed to deliver high quality performance, while maintaining integrity and high business values
