The Manager of Strategy & Development will work as a member of the leadership team of APG Europe,supporting the MD on acquisitions, major capital expenditures, greenfield sites and other key projects and strategic initiatives. Since APG's inception, acquisitions and other strategic investments have been a key driver of growth for the company. This position will work in close cooperation with senior operating management, while playing a critical role in driving APG/CRH.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Driving the end-to-end acquisition process, including business identification,assessment, valuation,contract negotiation, integration planning and post-closing integration in conjunction with senior management
  • Directing and developing the due diligence process
  • Responsible for planning, justification, documenting and executing major capital expenditures, greenfield proposals, key projects and other strategic initiatives
  • Identifying new growth opportunities and markets for profitable growth
  • Assisting in the development of the long-term strategic plan for APG-Europe
  • Creating proposals, presentations, and other deliverables to senior leadership in support of acquisitions, investments, and other strategic initiatives
  • Collaborating with members of the senior leadership team on cross-functional projects across APG and CRH


  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with corporate development, consulting, investment banking or private equity preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with strengths in the areas of strategic thinking, financial modeling, business writing, assessing business risk and displaying the ingenuity and tenacity to successfully close deals
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
