Our client is an international financial institution operating within the Banking industry, headquartered in Amsterdam and active across multiple European markets. The organization combines global expertise with regional market knowledge, offering corporate and financial services in a regulated Banking environment.

Functie

We are seeking an experienced management accountant with a strong background in financial accounting and management control within the Banking sector. The ideal candidate brings analytical strength, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in an international environment based in Amsterdam.

Profiel

As an Assistant Vice President you will be responsible for

  • Supervising monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting and dashboards
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Preparing financial presentations and insights for senior management
  • Managing revenue and cost projections, identifying cost drivers and savings opportunities
  • Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making



Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Master's degree in Finance or Accounting (postgraduate qualification preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in financial/accounting roles, preferably within Banking
  • Strong expertise in management control, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel (including pivot tables)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills



Experience, Skills and Knowledge - Nice to Haves

  • Experience in an international and multicultural financial institution
  • Exposure to regulatory or financial services reporting environments
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Understanding of financial products within a Banking context
