This is an exciting opportunity for experienced legal counsels who thrive on working on challenging legal issues where disruptive technology innovations require creative and proactive legal solutions. You will be part of a highly accomplished, diverse and experienced global team of in-house counsel that will challenge you to think boldly and differently.

The role will principally support all areas of Insight's business in the Benelux region, as well as supporting the wider EMEA and global Insight business. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Advise internal clients (e.g. sales, HR, finance, operations, marketing and service delivery teams) and senior management on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures, intellectual property, negotiation strategy, compliance with laws, regulations, and customer and partner contracts
  • Being responsive to legal requests from internal clients, summarizing and communicating legal concepts and recommendations that can be clearly understood and acted upon
  • Ensuring broad legal compliance including with data protection legislation (GDPR)
  • Assist with legal research and projects as directed, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, compliance training, Human Resources matters, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes
  • Work largely autonomously, relying on experience and judgment to assist the business in accomplishing its goals while also working to protect Insight's legal interests and ensuring compliance
  • Advice HR with legal issues and cases

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer and will be likely to have 4-8 years of relevant post-qualification

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer and will be likely to have 4-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience, with training at a top-tier law firm and/or in an in-house legal position at a leading national, or multi-national (preferably) technology company

They must be a fluent Dutch speaker and be able to carry out all responsibilities in both Dutch and English or German and English. Additional languages are desirable.

The successful candidate will be likely to have:

  • Experience with technology sales, licensing and procurement transactions such as distributor agreements, reseller agreements, cloud computing agreements and hardware and software product, solutions and services sales agreements
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to draft, review and negotiate complex technology agreements
  • Intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm for technology, and genuine interest in the technology industry
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to take ownership of special projects
  • Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude
