Job Description

APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE NETHERLANDS!Major duties/responsibilities

  • Own, manage and execute Data strategy in alignment with Advario's IT strategy
  • Transform Advario into a Data-centric company based on the IT strategy
  • Formulate the Advario Data Principles to help evolve the Data platform vision
  • Support Master Data Management across the organisation
  • Define a Data reference architecture and OWN the Data platform
  • Build & execute Data strategy in alignment with, & to deliver on OKR's (objectives & Key Results)
  • Build and manage a fit for purpose Data team
  • Stakeholder management to drive your ownership of a consolidated Data plan across the business
  • Drive adoption of Data as a day-to-day asset the business can take advantage of
  • Coordinate training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge in Data adoption
  • Enable and orchestrate a holistic view of Data plans across each of the business units focused on value creation
  • Work with functional teams to deliver Data related projects and initiatives
  • Enable annual forecast & budget for those Data demands from the business
  • Conduct user research for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Research current technology trends to enable Advario for future
  • Drive smarter Data investments in the organisation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Successful Applicant

APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE NETHERLANDS!

Your profile

  • 8-10 years of domain-specific experience, preferable as a Data Architect and ideally with consultancy experience
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a relevant education
  • Demonstrated experience of building and managing offshore/near-shore teams
  • Demonstrated experience of managing vendor relationships
  • Experience developing + defining Data roadmaps in alignment with IT strategy and support of corporate strategy
  • Experience with budgeting and forecast Data related costs year by year
  • Experience with Project- and Change management
  • Data Driven mind-set to look forward towards the next step on Data
  • Able to liaise and work with the business to align Data requirements with core technology principles
  • A record of accomplishment of building or consulting on the architecture of enterprise Data platforms
  • Experience with different Data types from traditional IT Data (structured, unstructured) to operations Data (transactional, time-series)
  • Experience of integration's (API's etc) between Cloud/SaaS applications
  • From a technology perspective, experience and working exposure to the following is preferable:
    • Azure and the Microsoft Data stack
    • Experience of Purview
    • Experience of AI/GenAI
    • Experience of Agile/DevOps
  • Strong documentation skills, ability to aggregate and analyse Data cogently
  • Broad understanding of Data is relevant and important than very specific tool knowledge and experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills on various levels
  • Self-starter, pro-active and entrepreneurial character
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Well organized and able to handle various responsibilities
  • Self-motivated, seeks out solutions and answers
  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative work ethic and approach
  • Fluent in English
