About Our Client

The IT Analyst provides both onsite and remote support to our users in the Europe region. Based at our Rozenburg Site, with occasional travel to other sites in Europe Region. This role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of our global IT infrastructure, including site Infra OT (Operational Technology).

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. 1. Infrastructure Monitoring and Analysis:
    • Continuously monitor the performance and health of IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services using advanced monitoring tools and dashboards.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to detect potential issues and analyze system performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, ensuring optimal infrastructure performance.
  2. System Administration and Maintenance:
    • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, ensuring system stability and reliability.
    • Apply software updates, patches, and security configurations to maintain systems' integrity and security.
    • Manage data storage solutions, including SAN and NAS systems, and ensure that regular backups of critical systems and data are performed according to established schedules.
  3. Network and Security Support:
    • Support the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, and identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network-related issues.
    • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities, perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  4. Technical and Operational Technology (OT) Support:
    • Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and respond promptly to IT support tickets and incidents.
    • Monitor and support the infrastructure related to OT, including industrial control systems and SCADA systems, collaborate with site operations teams, and troubleshoot OT-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
    • Implement and maintain security measures for OT systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations specific to OT environments.
  5. Documentation, Reporting, and Project Support:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT and OT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and standards, ensuring accuracy and availability for reference and audit purposes.
    • Generate regular reports on IT and OT infrastructure performance, issues, and improvements, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis and trend identification.
    • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT and OT infrastructure projects, collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks, and participate in the testing and implementation of new infrastructure solutions and technologies.
  6. Continuous Improvement and Collaboration:
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in IT and OT infrastructure processes and procedures, implementing best practices and industry standards to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT and OT infrastructure, and actively contribute to team meetings and discussions on infrastructure improvements and initiatives.
    • Work closely with other IT and OT teams, including network engineers, systems administrators, and cybersecurity analysts, to ensure seamless operations and effective support, and communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.



Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, network support, or OT-related roles.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, network devices, IT security practices, and OT systems.



Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of OT systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs) and their integration with IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of IT and OT security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and techniques.



Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.



Preferred Qualifications Not Essential:

  • Industry certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP),CompTIA Network+, Microsoft (MCP, MCSE), Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2).
  • Experience in the administration of heterogeneous network environments with Microsoft Windows and Linux based clients and servers.
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and practices.



Work Environment:

  • This role may require occasional on-call support and the ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global team members and projects.
  • Travel may be required to various locations for project support and collaboration.
