As HR (Operations) Manager your responsibilities and activities will include:


  • Delivery of a people plan for respective perimeter which is aligned with the overall People strategy, People Plan and Country Plan and Ops Plan. Work with Headquarter team to understand functional priorities to ensure they are reflected in the country HR plan.
  • Support the local Operational management team to deliver short and long term objectives, attending key operational management meetings as required.

Employee Relations (ER)

  • Lead and support the country employee relations agenda within the ER strategies including collective bargaining negotiations and managing employee legal cases if needed.
  • Ensure that time frames are met both as set by law, by agreement and by the ER strategy
  • Own the approach to employee consultation and engagement to ensure our people are appropriately involved and informed on business decisions which affect them

Performance Management

  • Support Line managers to drive a high performance culture to improve the service delivery for our customers through proactive management, effective performance management and coaching.

Talent and Succession Planning

  • Support the leadership/ management teams to build a succession and talent pipeline for critical roles and encourage cross functional internal moves to build breath of experience.

Learning & Career Development

  • Highlight L&D requirements for country and market and work with Head of HR to identify approach on how best to achieve and implement
  • Provide light touch learning and development interventions to support career development in functional areas for both current and future business needs

Organisational Development and Culture

  • Provide advice to ensure any organisations are optimised, implemented correctly and integrated successfully.
  • Partnering with the client area to develop an engagement and recognition plan to enhance communication and motivation within the employee area
  • Be a leader by example displaying the easyJet values and cultural behaviour we wish others to demonstrate
  • Demonstrate inclusive and fair behaviours spending time informally in the crew room with crew

Advice and Guidance

  • Delivering proactive pragmatic support, advising line managers in the correct implementation of all the companies' policies and practices, including the disciplinary and grievance policies where required
  • Keep up to date of local legislative changes and issues which are pertinent to our operations in country so as to act as internal advisor. Use the above to ensure we apply pragmatic evaluation and solutions to emerging changes and ensure company documentation including the employee handbook is updated accordingly.


  • Confidence and ability in working in a dynamic fast paced and pressurised environment
  • Experience of dealing with day to day issues which arise in an HR function in country
  • Experience of working within a matrix organisation
  • Experience of working with trade unions is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of local and regional Dutch social/labor laws
  • A track record of demonstrating the commercial value of HR on project basis
  • A solid track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships
  • Strong business awareness and decision making ability
  • A high level of internal stakeholder focus
  • The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the business
  • A results-orientated approach, with the ability to drive and improve business performance from a HR platform
